Relive all the fun and excitement of "Going Virtual"

You can relive all the fun and excitement (and sticky software moments) by watching our "Going Virtual" e-learning 2006 digital story.

We've come a very long way since the start of this project...

Now we can...
  • effectively design, deliver, and moderate webconferencing sessions using several webconferencing tools and platforms
  • put webcams and microphones to their best use
  • optimise accessibility to webconferences considering bandwidth requirements
  • design, record, edit and upload great podcasts for our students and colleagues
  • use desktop and application sharing software to really harness student/ facilitator interactivity
  • keep sharing and developing further collaboration between faculties.

So... thank you to all our enthusiastic participants and congratulations on a very successful Learnscope project.

Useful web authoring software

Hi everyone,

The e-learning networks online conference is still underway and has been fascinating.

One of the useful tools you may wish to explore- is ... "exe" - a web authoring tool for teachers and academics that is very impressive. Developed by some very clever "kiwis"- it is well worth a look.

And it is available for download from

Enjoy!

Blogging blunders

Phew.... I really need the help of you IT folk ... how do we ensure the previous posts are visible in this blog?
I thought about copying and pasting the html into the template- for linking posts (as suggested in the Blogger help stuff), but wasn't sure if this was the right thing to do. Needless to say I took the "woos" route, and didn't!

Help!

Blogging for beginners

"Hey, loved those cows in your latest blog"

A weblog, which is usually shortened to blog, is a type of website where entries are made (such as in a journal or diary), displayed in a reverse chronological order.
Blogs often provide commentary or news on a particular subject, such as food, politics, or local news; some function as more personal online diaries.
A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, web pages, and other media related to its topic. Most blogs are primarily textual although many focus on photograph (photoblog), videos (vlog), or audio (podcasting).
